  1. GFtoPK converts generic font (GF) files created by Metafont
  2. to packed (PK) font files for use by DVI-reading programs,
  3. like OzTeX.

  5. Given a file called cmr10.300gf, GFtoPK will create cmr10.300pk.

  7. PK files are much smaller than the corresponding GF files, so
  8. they are the preferred font format for most DVI readers.
